Some Use(less) Information About Human Body

I received this great email yesterday from Martha but in Portuguese, so I tried to translate it for your "best" understanding...hehehehehehe!
Some Use(less) Information About Human Body
  • Food spends 7 seconds from your mouth through your stomach.
  • One thread of hair can hold about 3 kg.
  • The size's average of men's penis is three times bigger than their thumb.
  • Femur is stronger than cement concrete.
  • The women's heart beats more quickly than men's.
  • There are about one trillion of bacterias in our each foot.
  • Women blink their eyes 2 times more than men.
  • The weight's average of the total human's skin is 2 times bigger than brain.
  • Our body needs about 300 muscles to balance itself when you're motionless stand up (I don't know if this expression is right...I'm sorry...hehehe).
  • If the saliva can't dissolve something in your mouth, you can't feel its flavour.
  • The women who are reading this message are almost at the end of it...
  • The men who are reading this message are still probably busy trying to measure their thumbs...!!!
  • Is it true or false?

Hehehehehe...

Too Much Indignity...

I'm here again today just to express my indignity about some brazilian people!!
They always complain about our government, our politicians and the violence that we can see every day on the streets and in most of newspapers and magazines. We're absolutely living in a civil war and it's unbelievable and I can't understand how "some" brazilians could vote and elect people who are in jail and some of them are already convicted!!!! Many people are murdered every day in the war between police and traffic's people or with lost bullets that pass through your home window and kill you while you're sleeping! Did you hear that? We can die because of this war even if we're at home!!! How can they do it?
You know, Brazil is a great country to live! Beautiful beaches, an amazing nature, but I don't know if these people are bad people or they're lacking in brain!!
Unfortunately, I guess if I have the opportunity to live abroad even with the problems they have, I'll accept and I won't think twice!
It's a shame!!!

A Great Holiday in a Tooooooooooooo Hot Day

Yesterday was tooooooooooo hot!!! Although I don't like anything about summer (unless sunny - but not hot or warm - days), Duda asked me to go to the beach. Actually, I don't want to go but when I looked at her eyes I realized her happiness about it and at this moment, I decided to go with her. I invited her aunt Marcia to go with us and she accept immediately.We had gone to Itaipu beach instead of Camboinhas or Piratininga because in Itaipú, the sea is calmer and there are many parking lots. The beach was so crowded and I couldn't relax about her. I'm afraid she'd get lost!!!
And it was a great day...
She played a lot with her aunt who seems a little child... It was funny to observe both of them looking for some Tatuí on the sand...They spent hours doing it...
At the end of the day Duda was so tired that she went to bed before 9 pm (she usually goes to bed after 11 pm!!!) and I'm so happy to see her tiredness and her satisfaction.

"Duuuuuuuuuuuda, I love you sooooooooooooooooo much!!!"

Recipe

Yesterday was the Henrique's birthday and I decided do make a dinner for him and for his relatives and parents that came to my place to give him "a happy birthday!!".
Actually, I hate cooking but, as was a special day, I looked up a recipe in the Ana Maria's site and I found this one. I never imagine that I could cook something so delicious... There's anything left over from tonight.
So, here we go:

Recipe of Chicken Bobó

Ingredientes:
  • 3 kg of cassava;
  • 2 sliced onions;
  • 300 g of tomatoes' cream;
  • 100 g of catchup;
  • 2 kg of picked chicken meat cooked;
  • 1 cup of olive oil;
  • 200 g of olive;
  • 5 cloves of garlic;
  • 1 talespoons of freshly ground black pepper;
  • 5 teaspoons of salt;
  • 5 cups of water.
First, cook tha cassava with some salt in a pressure cooker over high heat for about 30 minutes until it's soft. Then, when the cassava will be warm, blend it, but remember to blend it little by little adding some water. Not much! Reserve.
Take a pan and cook the chicken meat with no salt for about 30 minutes, too. After that, put it into a food processor to cut it in many small pieces of fibers' meat. Reserve.
In another pan, add the onions, the colves of garlic, the black pepper and the olive oil. Cook it for 5 minutes. Now, add the tomatoes' cream, the catchup and the olive.
Before adding the cassava's cream , put the picked chicken meat that had already been cooked into the pan for a few minutes to get the seasoning. After that, add the cassava's cream and bring it to a boil. If is necessary, add a bit of water (if the sauce's too heavy) or let it boil a few minutes to make the water evaporate (if it's too watery). The mixture should be like a bit heavy sauce. test the seasoning and add more salt or pepper if you want. The bobó should have a light orange color.

Serve the bobó with plain white fluffy rice, salad and french fries.

Enjoy yourselves...

Lots of love!

GYM

Since the beggining of this year I decided do lose all the weight tha that I've got in the last 2 years but until now I lost just 2 kg over the 15 that I need to lose... So, I really decided to go to the gym altough I hate it. I have to make a great effort to go there but yesterday I did it!!! I went to the gym, spent R$95,00 and made my enrollment. At the same time I was there doing it, I was talking to my self if it was really necessary and suddenly I realize a conflict inside my self because I hate gym, so I'm going against my fellings and sensations but in the other hand, if I don't do it, I'll be fat until the end of my life... I have the opportunity to choose what I want to be (A to be gorgeous or B to be fat) so, of course I chose A from B.Actually, I still dislike gym even doing the classes of bike, jump... but I'm felling much better just to know that I'm doing something to change my life...

Lots of Love.

Elections in Brazil

Last week brazilian people voted in one candidate to be a mayor and another one to be a councillor. To tell you the truth, until that time, I didn't know who could be the better candidate to represent us and our necessities about education, healthy system, traffic jam and security. These are the worst of all problems that we have in Niterói. So, however I hadn't knew what to do, I wish luck for all of us who are not free but really brave!!!

Outro Blog...

Oi gentem,
Desculpe o sumiço mas sempre darei a desculpa da internet... Sinceramente, é um porre levar horas para escrever um único post.
Felizmente, a minha turma da Cultura Inglesa montou um blog e agora sou praticamente obrigada a encarar essa internet. And I must write in English!!!
